Work in App Development

Non-communicable diseases, like cardiac conditions, strokes, health challenges connected with body-fat issues, stress, anxiety and depression are sustained by the individual’s motivations and beliefs – many of which are sub-conscious and, often, unknown to her or him.

The most successful way to alleviate them is, currently, long, structured programmes of talking therapy. Traditionally, these are delivered in one-hour weekly sessions. We believe there is an urgent need for a new way – particularly since COVID-19.

In NISAD’s quest to deliver the necessary new systems, apps are central. We intend to create a number of innovative apprenticeships and internships for people who would like to make a career in app development – but this will take time.

So in the meantime, we’ll need people who already have expertise.

Why not register your interest in working with us so you can find out more about undertaking work with NISAD and companies that are associated with, or supply NISAD.

I understand that my information will be stored and I will receive occasional emails from NISAD which I can opt out of at any time.

What else can I do now to improve my chances of an apprenticeship?

We are a collection of pioneering organisations passionate about what we are working towards – which is to support ordinary people in becoming as healthy and happy as they can be. We expect candidates for all jobs with us – including internships and apprenticeships – to be just as enthusiastic as we are. You can’t possibly be if you don’t know much about us. So we suggest you follow our various social media outlets:

For NISAD – The National Institutes for Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Behaviour Change, which is the research bit of our organisations:

For ELK.Health, which is the programmes, products and services part of our organisations:

There is also social media for some specific ELK.Health programmes

CalmBaby – which is the programme we are developing to reduce the effects on babies of being exposed to large amounts of stress hormones in the womb

NoWeigh – which is a ground-breaking programme to help people manage body fat and reverse Type 2 Diabetes symptoms.

What happens next?

If you fill in the form, we will contact you to say whether we would like to take you working with us, or our associate companies, further.

Please note that some projects are still being developed, so actually commencing with us might take a while. But we will keep you posted.

Open positions we have on offer.
